Campus Tours

Appointments for campus tours can be scheduled by contacting Kim Dunn, Career Specialist at 727-774-1703 or kdunn@pasco.k12.fl.us.

 

Admission Requirements

  • High school student in 11th grade or higher
  • Career-technical post-secondary goal
  • 2.0 unweighted GPA
  • Students are strongly encouraged to have passed Florida State Assessments
  • Two letters of recommendation from School Counselors or teachers
  • Good attendance and discipline records

 

Home School Student Requirements for Admission

Home school students must be enrolled with Pasco County Schools Home School Division or register their home school with the county.

Students must also have the following information (if never been in a Pasco County School):

  • Social Security Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Current Physical
  • Current Immunization Records
  • Current Transcripts
  • Evaluation from homeschool department stating what grade student will be advancing into

 

Application Process (High School and Dual Enrollment)

Complete the online application found at the top right corner of this page.  Submit the two letters of recommendation within the online application or to Nicole Graziano, School Counselor.  She can be reached at 727-774-1718 or ngrazian@pasco.k12.flk.us.  You will be notified by letter if you are accepted at Marchman Technical College.

 

Additional Information

Busing is provided to and from the base high schools during certain sessions.  If you sign up for a program that busing is not offered you will be responsible for your own transportation.

For programs that take longer to complete, post-secondary students are awarded transfer credits from high school based on instructor evaluation of hours, grades, and skills. There is no guarantee of 900 hours as a high school student.

Students who attended MTC at any time prior to enrollment as a post-secondary student will be issued credit for successfully completed coursework as evaluated by the post-secondary program instructor.

Services for Students with Disabilities

The District School Board of Pasco County hereby stipulates and affirms its policy of offering equal educational opportunities for all persons regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, gender, marital status, disability, genetic information or legally-protected characteristic. As such, it is the policy of the District to provide reasonable substitutions for any person enrolled in a post-secondary vocational programs who is hearing impaired, visually impaired, dyslexic or who has a specific learning disability where failure to meet the requirements is related to the disability. In order to receive disability accommodations or substitution, qualifying students must provide documentation that clearly shows evidence of a disability to the Special Populations Coordinator for individual consideration.
