Adult Basic Education

The Adult Basic Education program  (pre-GED®) provides educational opportunities for individuals wishing to improve basic skills in language, reading, writing, and mathematics and to remediate basic skills in preparation for earning a State of Florida High School diploma.

Admissions Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Formally withdrawn from regular high school program
  • TABE tested
  • 16 & 17 year olds must attend an orientation before beginning

Fees

$30.00 per semester. 

Pay non-refundable tuition of $30 (Florida in-state residents) or $120 (out-of-state residents) in the Student Services office located in Building E, Room 04-001.  You may pay by personal check (with printed address and phone number), money order or credit card.  Please note there is a $5 convenience fee to pay by credit card. You will need to sign a residency affidavit and provide at least two documents to verify residency from the state-approved list. Status as a dependent or independent student.


Classes are also offered at various locations throughout the west side of the county.
